AI Sprite Cutter
Detect subjects, clean backgrounds, name slices, and export ZIP packs or hand off to Sprite Sheet Packer.
AI Sprite Cutter keeps the full cutout workflow in your browser: upload artwork, detect sprites, refine keying, rename results, then download or send them to Sprite Sheet Packer.
Standard workflow
1. Upload a PNG, WebP, or JPEG sheet. Clear, high-contrast backgrounds improve detection.
2. Click Smart detect to generate slice boxes around visible subjects. Drag to move, resize edges, or delete unwanted boxes.
3. Open the cutout panel, set tolerance and feathering, sample the background, then apply keying. Use punch-out for enclosed holes between limbs or props.
4. Select a slice in the result list to rename it on the right. Trim selected or all slices when padding is too large.
5. Download a single PNG, export selected slices as a ZIP, or hand off everything to Sprite Sheet Packer in one click.
Feature overview
- Smart detect with editable slice boxes
- Key-color sampling plus tolerance, feathering, edge trim, spill cleanup, min area, and padding controls
- Punch-out / hole repair for enclosed background regions
- Canvas modes: select, key pick, hole punch
- Preview backgrounds: checkerboard, black, white, green, blue, or custom
- Wheel zoom, right-drag or Space pan, blank-canvas box create, Delete remove, Ctrl+Z undo
- Auto-snap edges toggle
- Per-slice rename in the result panel
- Download transparent PNG or slices ZIP
- One-click handoff to Sprite Sheet Packer
Tips
If a subject is missed, try a larger source or cleaner background. If edges look harsh, lower tolerance and raise feathering slightly, then punch out internal background last.
